This has slowly become one of my favorite paid online survey companies and has recently revamped to a newer designed website which I feel looks MUCH better than their previous one that seemed to take you back to the times of 1995 web design.

Livewire doesn’t send many online surveys, but when they do they pay quite well. I have been registered with Livewire Research since April 2007 and have usually received about 1 survey per month from them.

I have also not received a survey for under $5 nor has it taken longer than 15 minutes to complete either.  Two that I have received only took 10 minutes, and one of those paid $10 for it, that’s $60/hr — Wow…if only they sent more surveys.

Do note, however, that they do ask for your social security number, but I did a lot of research on the web about them before hand and couldn’t find a bad thing stated about their character, so I decided to go ahead and sign up and I haven’t had a problem since.

Livewire Research pays via check and sends it right after you complete the survey. It usually takes 4 weeks to process and arrive; and I have been paid twice by this company thus far.

So, pretty cool, huh?  I thought so, and even took a stab at it tonight myself and fared pretty decently I thought for my 10 pulls.  Here is what I received:

Of course 6 of my 10 pulls we’re duds, but that’s to be expected, as I’m sure its programmed to make it harder to win items, but that’s whats so fun about gambling, right?

I finally surpassed the $500 mark and my way into the Treasure Trooper’s VIP club after about 1 1/2 years of work – I signed up in February of 2007.

Here is how it works:

1. First earn $500 through Treasure Trooper.  This can be done through Trial Offers, $0.50 Offers, Daily Surveys, Cash Shopping, or many other activities included on Treasure Trooper such as Monthly Treasure Hunts and contests held throughout the Treasure Trooper forums.

2. After earning your $500 you will automatically be including into the VIP Club.  You can then view your stats daily through the “My Treasure” link on the left.  Each VIP Club member must earn $50 per month to obtain their benefits, if for whatever reason they don’t those earnings return back to $0 at the beginning of the next month until you finally reach $50.  However, $10 of those earnings must come from referrals and $25 from miscellaneous earnings such as trial offers, surveys etc.

Online paid surveys can be very fun and rewarding and now with the Internet being used exclusively in the marketing industry, online paid surveys have become a major player for advertising agencies wanting fresh ideas and suggestions for their new and upcoming products.

Ideas and suggestions you give are not only important, but imperative to a company’s long-term success.

These companies are jumping out of their shoes for the opinions of average working citizens like you and I, and depend on our thoughts and suggestions for their newly upcoming products.

Companies in the U.S alone spend in upwards of $250 billion a year trying to convince you to buy their products; however a portion of this money is also spent on marketing research where they will hire research firms to conduct surveys based on these products.

From here, the researching companies will then email panelists which fall into the particular demographics needed from the company, inviting them to give their thoughts and opinions on a product through an online survey.

After the dust settles, the results are then returned to the company to be analyzed so they can in turn make any necessary changes needed to the products. The company then pays the marketing firm which will then hand out a certain percentage of compensation to their panelists. Its a win win situation.

However, it is important that you respect these companies and give honest advice. Do not under any means lie or give false information on an online survey. Remember, if a particular online survey does not yield interest to you, then its best you skip over it and wait until the next survey is offered by the company.

You will not be losing anything by making this decision. Matter of fact, online survey companies suggest that you do this as they only want you to take part in online surveys that you have plenty of prior knowledge and interest in.

This is why they make you take a pre-qualifying survey, to ensure you’re the targeted audience that they’re looking to further research. Not only does this produce more accurate online survey results for their clients, but much more thought provoked and suggestive advice from you, the respondent.

However, many times online survey takers like to try and “guess” what the demographics are that these online survey companies are looking for and in doing, so can often times bypass the pre-qualifier, so that they can cash in on the money being offered by falsifying information.

This can be done for a little while, but these online survey companies are not ignorant, and will eventually catch on to you by studying their database of previously submitted answers and ban your membership, they may also pass word on to other subsidiary online survey companies you may be involved with thus endangering your chances of ever working with them or any other marketing company again, so, is it worth it?

The answer is a resounding, flat out, NO!

When you falsify information it only wrongfully skews the end results. Get enough people doing this and it could easily persuade the company into marketing the wrong products, only hurting you and everyone else in the end, just because you wanted to make a couple bucks.

So, keep your integrity and pride that makes you who you are and choose to do the right thing when filling out online surveys.
